Texas A&M will hit the road for the first time this season when the Aggies travel to Baton Rouge to take on LSU on Saturday night.
The matchup will be one of the marquee games of the college football weekend, with both teams looking to respond after suffering losses in Week 3. Texas A&M enters the contest at 2-1 after falling to Kentucky 31-21, while LSU is also 2-1 following a loss to Ole Miss.
For the Aggies, the game provides an immediate opportunity to get back on track against one of the SEC's most recognizable programs.
How to Watch Texas A&M vs. LSU
Date: Saturday, Sept. 26
Time: 6:30 p.m.
TV: ABC
Location: Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
The game will be played under the lights at LSU's Tiger Stadium, giving Texas A&M its first road test of the 2026 season. The Aggies' first three games were all played at Kyle Field.
Saturday's matchup will also mark the second consecutive year that Texas A&M and LSU have met in Baton Rouge. The Aggies won last year's meeting in convincing fashion, taking a 49-25 victory over the Tigers.
The recent series has been competitive, with the teams splitting the last 10 meetings at five wins apiece.
Texas A&M Hopes to Bounce Back
The Aggies appeared to be in good position entering SEC play after opening the season with dominant wins over Missouri State and Arizona State. Texas A&M won those two games by a combined 98-20 before Kentucky handed Mike Elko's team its first loss.
The defeat exposed some issues the Aggies will need to correct quickly, particularly after Texas A&M turned the ball over twice and struggled to consistently slow down Kentucky's passing attack.
The Aggies will also have to adjust without wide receiver Terry Bussey, who suffered a lower-body injury against Kentucky and will miss the remainder of the season. Bussey had seven catches for 92 yards through three games and had emerged as an important piece of the offense and return game.
A Major Early-Season Test
LSU represents a significantly different challenge from the opponents Texas A&M faced during the first two weeks of the season. The Tigers have plenty of talent on both sides of the football and will have the benefit of playing in front of a home crowd at Tiger Stadium.
Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed will be under particular scrutiny after throwing two interceptions against Kentucky. The Aggies will need a more efficient offensive performance if they hope to leave Baton Rouge with a victory.
For Texas A&M, this is more than simply the team's first road game. It is an opportunity to show how quickly it can respond to adversity and establish itself in the SEC race.
The Aggies and Tigers will meet Saturday night with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
