How to watch Nebraska football vs. Michigan State: Time, TV channel

The Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-0) open Big Ten play on the road Saturday. The Huskers will travel to East Lansing, Michigan, to face the Michigan State Spartans (2-1).

Nebraska wrapped up nonconference play defeating North Dakota 34-7 last Saturday night. This is the third straight season that the Huskers completed nonconference play undefeated.

The Huskers are looking to win their first conference opener since beating Illinois in 2019. Since joining the Big Ten in 2011, Nebraska is 6-9 in Big Ten openers.

The Nebraska offense has started off stellar in 2026. Through three games, the offense ranks 10th in total offense, averaging 520.7 yards per game, and 11th in scoring offense at 46.3 points per game.

The Blackshirts were also impressive during nonconference play, ranking 16th in scoring defense, surrendering 11.67 points per game. The revamped unit also ranks 11th in total defense by giving up 225.7 yards per game to start the season.

Michigan State enters its Big Ten opener after a 27-10 loss at No. 3 Notre Dame. The Spartans defeated Toledo and Eastern Michigan in their first two games of the year.

First-year coach Pat Fitzgerald leads the Spartans. Fitzgerald isn't new to the Big Ten, having coached Northwestern from 2006 to 2022. He's also familiar with the Cornhuskers, having faced Nebraska 12 times with a 6-6 record.

Saturday afternoon's game is the 15th showdown between these two schools. The Huskers hold a 10-4 series lead with a 5-4 advantage since joining the Big Ten.
