5 Georgia players to know ahead of Saturday's matchup

The Oklahoma Sooners face a major battle on Saturday against the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs. The Bulldogs have won three of the last four SEC titles and are nearly unbeatable at home under Kirby Smart.

The team is loaded with talent, a constant in the Smart era. Here are five players Sooner fans should know ahead of the game.

QB Gunner Stockton

Stockton gets all of the headlines and rightfully so. He's the quarterback for one of the best offenses in college football this season. He's completing 84.4% of his passes for 583 yards, nine touchdowns and no interceptions. The Sooners must make him uncomfortable if they stand a chance.

WR Craig Dandridge Jr.

Dandridge is the Bulldogs' top receiver this season. He has just seven catches, but for 166 yards. That is an average of 23.7 yards per catch. His big-play ability separates him from the rest of the receiver group. If Oklahoma loses track of him, it could be a long day.

RB Nate Frazier

Frazier is the leader of the Georgia rushing attack. He's rushed for 202 yards and five scores on 8.4 yards per carry. He's established himself as one of the toughest players to bring down in the SEC. However, he's been banged up and may not be able to play this weekend. He was listed as "questionable" on the most recent SEC Availability report.

LB Raylen Wilson

Georgia seems to always have star linebackers, and this year is no different. Wilson leads the team with three tackles for loss and two sacks on the season. Georgia will line him up in a variety of ways, so the Sooners better know where he's at at all times.

S KJ Bolden

Bolden is arguably the best player on the team and the top safety in college football. He only has seven tackles this season due to limited playing time because of Georgia's dominant performances. However, he had 76 tackles and two picks last season. Quarterback John Mateer better know where he's at because he's a big play waiting to happen.

For the Sooners to pull off the upset, they don't necessarily have to shut down every Georgia star. They do have to limit the explosive plays and avoid giving those difference-makers opportunities to take over. Against a team with this much talent, a few missed assignments could be the difference between a competitive game and a long afternoon in Athens.
