The Texas football team has a big game on Saturday against Tennessee. Texas quarterback Arch Manning has quite a few family members in attendance, to watch the SEC showdown.
“Really cool to see the Manning family in the house today, including Archie. He’s had a tough time getting around after undergoing his sixth back surgery in 20 years this past spring. But he told me he wasn’t going to miss this one with grandson Arch coming to Neyland Stadium for the first time,” On3 insider Chris Low posted to X, formerly Twitter.
The Manning family has a very strong connection to Tennessee. It is where Peyton played for his college career.

“Archie said that Peyton, wife Ashley and their son Marshall are also here along with Archie’s wife Olivia and Arch’s dad and mom, Cooper and Ellen, and Arch’s brother Heid. Peyton only lost twice in Neyland Stadium as a starter, 1994 to Alabama as a freshman and 1996 to Florida as a junior,” Low added.
Texas enters Saturday’s game undefeated with a no. 1 ranking in the country, per the Associated Press college football poll. Tennessee is also undefeated and ranked at 3-0 on the season.
Texas is looking for a big win on Saturday over Tennessee
Texas is hoping to reach the College Football Playoff this season. The Longhorns missed the field in 2025, after reaching the CFP in 2023 and 2024. A road win at Tennessee would certainly help the Longhorns’ chances.
This season, Arch Manning has 661 passing yards for Texas. He has thrown seven touchdown passes, to just two interceptions.
As a Manning, Arch faces a lot of expectations from football fans. His uncles Peyton and Eli were both stars in college, before going on to the NFL. Eli played for Ole Miss, while Peyton suited up for the Volunteers.
Time will tell if Arch is able to earn a win in Peyton’s old stomping ground on Saturday. Texas and Tennessee play at 12:00 ET.
