Vanderbilt vs Auburn football score updates, start time, TV channel

AUBURN, AL ― Vanderbilt football is opening SEC play against an Auburn team it has defeated in two straight years.

The Commodores (3-0) defeated the Tigers in both 2024 and 2025, including winning the 2024 matchup on the road to get bowl eligible. Vanderbilt previously won games against Austin Peay, Delaware and NC State to open the 2026 season.

Auburn (2-1, 0-1 SEC) defeated Baylor and Southern Miss in its first two games before losing its SEC opener to Florida.

This will also be the homecoming matchup for Auburn as the two teams face off Sept. 26 (3:15 p.m. CT, SEC Network) at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
