LSU football’s commanding lead over Texas A&M was overshadowed by a potentially costly injury to one of its defensive leaders. No. 14 LSU linebacker Whit Weeks exited Saturday night’s SEC showdown early in the third quarter after suffering an apparent right leg injury. ,That left the Tigers facing an anxious wait for further updates.
Weeks had already made his presence felt with four tackles and a quarterback hurry before going down with LSU leading 28-6. According to reports from the sideline, Weeks was taken to the locker room wearing a protective boot and using crutches. The injury reportedly involved his right ankle.
