Iowa City will play host to the ESPN pregame show for the first time in 20 years this weekend
The Iowa vs. Ohio State Big Ten Conference matchup set for this Saturday has added a few extra folks.
Already a Kinnick Stadium sellout, the school will host ESPN College GameDay for the first time in 20 years.
The Hawkeyes moved to 4-0 and picked up a win in their conference opener with a stunning upset of Michigan. Iowa scored on a touchdown pass from Hank Brown to Reece Vander Zee as time expired, winning 20-19.

Meanwhile, the Buckeyes cruised past Illinois at home. Ohio State is now 3-1 on the year, with its lone loss coming to Texas.
College GameDay Making Second Appearance Ever In Iowa City
This is just the second time ever that College GameDay has made a visit to Iowa City for a Hawkeye game. Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban “Stanford Steve” Coughlin and others will all be on hand.
Kickoff for the game is set for 2:30 p.m. CT. The contest will air live on CBS.
Iowa Hosted Ohio State In Last College GameDay Special Hosted By Hawkeyes
Ironically enough, the last time the ESPN pregame program made a trip to Iowa City, the Hawkeyes were also taking on Ohio State. That came on September 30, 2006, when the top-ranked Buckeyes earned a 38-17 victory.
Troy Smith was the quarterback, throwing four touchdowns, including a pair of Anthony Gonzalez. Antonio Pittman ran for 117 yards and a touchdown.

The Ohio State offense also featured Ted Ginn, Jr. and Brian Robiskie.
Iowa was led by Drew Tate, as he threw for 249 yards and a touchdown to Andy Brodell. The Buckeyes did pick Tate off three times. Albert Young ran for 48 yards and a score, as Scott Chandler caught six passes for 87 yards.
