LSU LB Whit Weeks reportedly suffers fractured right leg in win over Texas A&M

LSU is likely to be without linebacker Whit Weeks for a significant amount of time.

According tomultiple reports, Weeks suffered a fractured right leg that needs surgery in the No. 11 Tigers' 35-6 win over Texas A&M on Saturday night. Weeks was shown on the game broadcast walking to the locker room with the assistance of crutches and his right foot in a boot.

Weeks has 24 tackles through LSU's first four games of the season. He played in just eight games in 2025 after also suffering a season-ending right ankle injury. He dislocated his left ankle and fractured that tibia in 2024 in the Texas Bowl.

The senior linebacker became one of the Tigers' best defensive players during that 2024 season as he had 125 tackles and 10 tackles for loss as a sophomore. He had 31 stops in eight games before his injury in 2025.

Weeks is also the boyfriend of Landry Kiffin, the daughter of LSU coach Lane Kiffin. The two started dating when Lane was the head coach at Ole Miss.

"It hasn't affected my relationship with him at all," Weeks said at SEC media days about Kiffin becoming his head coach. "I know that when we go in that building, everyone in our building has the same mindset and the same goals. When you're in that building, you're there for work, and we like to have a lot of fun up there too, but at the end of the day it's work.

"Then whenever we leave it's cool, he's my girlfriend's dad. At the end of the day, it is what it is when we're outside the building, just hanging out, cutting up, like it's cool. It doesn't affect anything in the football building."
