Undefeated Bruins make it onto USA TODAY Sports US LBM Coaches Poll

The college football Week 4 USA TODAY Sports US LBM Coaches Poll has the UCLA Bruins at No. 23, becoming ranked for the first time this season.

Bruins head coach Bob Chesney has breathed new life into UCLA's program and their 54-3 thumping of Maryland at the SECU Stadium was enough to push the Bruins to being a Top-25 team. UCLA has started the season 4-0 and have been a buzzsaw for their opponents as they put 50-points in both of their Big Ten Conference games.

As the Bruins received 183 points to take the No. 23 rank in the poll, the former No. 23 Washington Huskies dropped out of the Top-25. UCLA is now sandwiched in between the No. 24 Michigan Wolverines and the No. 22 Penn State Nittany Lions, who each suffered significant drops this week with a loss to a conference opponent.

The No. 18 USC Trojans joined the Wolverines and Nittany Lions in losing this week and fall six spots. Meanwhile, the No. 15 Oregon Ducks climbed one rank to make it to the Top-15 after defeating the Trojans without star quarterback Dante Moore.

The No. 14 Iowa Hawkeyes rose three ranks to be just ahead of Oregon after they quieted the Wolverines with a last minute score.

The final Big Ten teams on the poll were the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes and the No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers to make it an even eight Big Ten teams ranked in the Top-25 four weeks into the 2026 season.
