Oregon football fans gasped at the sight of quarterback Dante Moore leaving on an ambulance. The Ducks leaned on backup and former Nebraska starter Dylan Raiola to will past USC 41-27. Now coach Dan Lanning helped ease the concerns of Oregon fans Sunday following Moore’s injury.
Lanning issued a release through the school revealing Moore hasn’t suffered any other injuries outside of Saturday’s concussion.
“Fortunately his MRI and CT scans came back clean,” were some of the words from Lanning’s statement.

However, he adds that Moore will be taken care of with “an abundance of caution.” Another words, the now No. 15 Ducks don’t want to rush out their star quarterback just yet.
Moore absorbed a scary hit to the head from USC linebacker Desman Stephens II during the second quarter. The dual-threat passer laid on the field with no feeling momentarily. Instant replays showed that Stephens lowered his shoulder into Moore’s head, leading to the targeting call and ejection.
The sidelines cleared, however, as players from Oregon and USC engaged in a scuffle after the hit. Stephens celebrated the hit and injury, even mocking a “flock” celebration” Duck players have used during games.
Except Stephens and USC head coach Lincoln Riley issued a Sunday morning statement about the moment. Which now features Stephens serving a one-game suspension for his actions in that moment. So now the linebacker will sit out the Oct. 3 home contest against Washington.
Oregon, meanwhile, will rest this Saturday during its bye week before hosting current unbeaten UCLA at Autzen Stadium.
