Danny Kanell's Top 12 Has Major Shakeup After Week 4

Danny Kanell has released his latest Top 12 rankings following Week 4 of the 2026 regular season. There’s been a major shakeup.
The former college football quarterback turned broadcaster likes to switch up his rankings in a big way, week after week. Kanell makes it clear that he tries not to be influenced by preseason polls, big school biases and other things.
Kanell has Texas at No. 1 overall, but his Top 12 looks a lot different than everyone else’s after that spot.
The college football analyst released his latest Top 12 on social media, following the Week 4 games:

- Mississippi State
- Notre Dame
- Florida
- Georgia
- Utah
- Iowa
- Miami
- Ohio St
- Ole Miss
- Duke

College football fans react to Kanell’s Top 12
College football fans are appreciative of the Top 12.
“Is Danny in the concussion protocol? Indiana is on a 20-0 streak but not ranked?” one fan wrote.
“Tennessee’s best win is vs 1-3 Georgia Tech, who lost to Stanford last night. Given that TN beat nobody last year and nobody this year, why were they top 15? Only because they are in the SEC. Spare me how tough TX’s schedule is because all the teams are ranked. House of cards,” one fan added.
“Mississippi State is such a fraud and non factor that they would rather go to a game that they can’t broadcast eSECpn doesn’t even believe in Mississippi State, that’s sad,” one fan added.
“CTE has gotten the best Kanell, and with his Noles being cheeks his brain is gone,” one fan added.
“I’m glad your eyes work this week, Daniel,” one fan added.
