Where Alabama sits in ESPN FPI rankings after win vs. South Carolina

Following a win over South Carolina, the Alabama Crimson Tide have risen yet again in ESPN's latest Football Power Index (FPI) team rankings.

As of Sunday, Sept. 27, ESPN's FPI now has Alabama ranked as the nation's No. 6 team with a rating of 24.6. A week ago, Alabama sat at No. 7 with a rating of 22.5.

ESPN's FPI currently projects Alabama's win-loss record at 10.0-2.4, while also giving the Tide a 6.7% chance to win out. Alabama's other current percentages, per ESPN's FPI, include 18.1% to win the SEC, 72.9% to make the College Football Playoff, and 8.5% to win the national championship.

Alabama's next game will be arguably their toughest yet this season as the Crimson Tide travel to Mississippi State on Saturday, Oct. 3. The game will begin at 11 a.m. CT live on ABC.
