‘No holding back’: Nick Cannon says upcoming Netflix docuseries about family life will give people ‘everything’

After years of public fascination, Cannon says he’s ready to address questions about his children, their mothers and how he manages to be a present father in six households.
Nick Cannon‘s home life has made for tabloid fodder, from how many children he has to the relationships he has with their mothers. In a new interview with Us Magazine, Cannon, 45, vows that his upcoming Netflix docuseries will leave nothing on the table.
“People have been fascinated with my lifestyle for quite some time, so instead of letting them make up stuff, I’m gonna give you everything,” Cannon said.
According to Cannon, the series will premiere later this winter and will share an unfiltered look not only at his unconventional lifestyle but also at how he manages to share love and affection across six different households. Cannon is the father to 15-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, sons Golden, 9, and Rise, 4, and daughter Powerful, 5, with Brittany Bell, twin boys Zion and Zillion, 5, and daughter Beautiful, 3, with Abby De La Rosa, son Legendary, 4, with Bre Tiesi and daughter Onyx, 4, with LaNisha Cole. Cannon also revealed that there would be a tribute to his late son Zen, who died at five months from a rare form of brain cancer.
The multi-hyphenate says he’s “built” for whatever ridicule may come his way but understands it will be “a lot” for the ladies in his life. But he’s prepared for the mass reaction people may have to the docuseries.
“I want to know what they have to say because there are no secrets and nothing to hide.”
Despite going all-in with his family’s lives on the small screen, Cannon revealed that not all of his children’s mothers were on board with the docuseries.
“They were like, ‘Why are we letting cameras into our homes?’” Cannon recalls. “I think that everybody’s very comfortable with just keeping their peace. But everybody said that they would do it for me, so I’m appreciative of that.”
Even as Cannon’s new docuseries approaches, not every woman is on board with his co-parenting among six different women. In a recent interview, Tiersi explained that there was no singular dynamic among the six women when it comes to raising their respective children with Cannon.
“There is no ‘we’—we don’t balance anything,” Tiesi said while appearing on E! ‘s “Hot Goss” podcast. While she admitted that she wanted her son to have relationships with his siblings, ultimately, it all comes down to Cannon.
“Nick has to step up, and he has to make an environment and support the children,” she said.
