ESPN’s College GameDay announced former Michigan star Aidan Hutchinson will serve as the show’s guest picker for Michigan vs. Ohio State on Saturday.

The NFL star brings a hometown edge to college football’s biggest rivalry stage. The premier college football pregame show will originate from Ann Arbor ahead of “The Game,” renewing its long-standing tradition of spotlighting the showdown between the Wolverines and Buckeyes.

This was done to compete with FOX's Big Noon Kickoff, who will also be on campus for the event.

Hutchinson was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions after a decorated career at Michigan.

His collegiate honors included the Lombardi Award, Lott Trophy, Big Ten MVP, Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, and Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year. He was also named a unanimous All-American and one of the premier defensive careers in program history.

Hutchinson’s breakthrough success came during the latter half of his Michigan tenure, helping fuel the team’s resurgence. From the NFL sidelines, he continued supporting the Wolverines, including during their 2023 national championship run.

He adds star power to a rivalry week broadcast loaded with playoff implications and tradition.
