On Saturday afternoon, the Texas football program picked up another big win, this time on the road against the Tennessee Volunteers. However, the game didn’t come without controversy, as pass rusher Colin Cimmons caused a stir by pretending to urinate after recording a sack.
The incident drew the most obvious unsportsmanlike penalty in recent memory and backlash from the college football world.
In fact, columnist Kirk Bohls of the Houston Chronicle opined that both Simmons and teammate Raleek Brown, who also participated in the crude celebration, should be disciplined.

“Texas should fine both players for their lewd actions on a nationally televised platform in front of 101,915 fans, including President Donald Trump, and millions more watching. It should be obvious by now that these college players are indeed professionals because they are paid handsomely to play football and are representing the school,” he wrote.
It’s unclear what the President’s attendance at the game had to do with Bohls’ line of thinking, but clearly, he isn’t the only one who thinks that Texas or the NCAA should come down hard on both players for the vulgar celebration.
Thankfully for Longhorns fans, the two defenders were able to shake off the controversy and both turned in great games against Tennessee, resulting in Texas picking up a narrow road win to push their record to 4-0 on the young 2026 season.
Texas remains at number one in the country this week, and now will have a week off before they next hit the field on October 10 for their Red River Rivalry game against the struggling Oklahoma Sooners.
