MSU OC Nick Sheridan addresses offensive struggles ahead of Wisconsin

Michigan State football has lost two games in a row, and with their recent struggles, a lot of the missteps can be found on the offensive side of the ball. In the losses to Nebraska and Notre Dame, the Spartans have been held to just 23 points, struggling to move the ball and close drives.
The man responsible for the offensive production is new offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan, who is still getting acclimated to East Lansing. While Sheridan has actually shown strong creativity as a play caller, he is going to have to dig down deep for answers to these offensive struggles.
On Tuesday, Sheridan spoke to the media about his unit, and what needs to be done to fix his unit.
- "We're not gonna win football games turning the ball over like we did, and going backwards."
- "There's certain things we're looking to address," at taking sacks. "That's what we're focused on."
- "We're looking to utilize the entire roster. He (Carson Gulker), alongside other guys, they keep getting better. We're looking to maximize the guys we have."
- "That's the worst part of coaching, for us. To see a player get hurt."
- "You talk about resiliency, grit, toughness, perseverance. He's [Vincic] a tough kid. It's (his recovery) hard, it's difficult,"
- "We've competed against Coach Tressel multiple times. Fantastic coach. Coach Fickell, his track record speaks for itself."
- "Marv (Marvis Parrish) has some versatility out of the backfield."
