Tennessee offers Auburn football recruiting target

Tennessee and head coach Josh Heupel are recruiting toward their 2029 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to defensive back Andre Scott ahead of Tennessee's game against Auburn on Saturday at Neyland Stadium (3:30 p.m. EDT, ESPN).
"Blessed to receive my 13th offer from the University of Tennessee," Scott announced Wednesday.
The 6-foot, 190-pound safety is from Port Charlotte High School in Port Charlotte, Florida. He is ranked as a three star by 247Sports.
South Florida and then-head coach Alex Golesh was the first to school offer a scholarship to Scott on Sept. 18, 2025. Others schools who have offered the 2029 prospect are Florida, Liberty, North Carolina, Louisville, Florida State, UAB, Appalachian State, Syracuse, Maryland and Miami.
Golesh is in his first season as Auburn's head coach. After he was hired, the Tigers offered a scholarship to Scott on May 9.
Golesh served as Tennessee's offensive coordinator and tight ends coach from 2021-22 under Heupel. He compiled a 23-15 (14-10 AAC) record with South Florida and is 3-1 (1-1 SEC) through four games with the Tigers.
