It's the midway point in the Arizona high school football season for the big schools, 6A through 4A. For the small schools, 3A through 1A, they're into Week 7.

The Republic breaks down the top 20 offensive players so far this season. This will undoubtedly change by the end of the season. This isn't based only on who has the best stats, because some of the top players are out of games by the final quarter due to blowouts. It's a combination of the numbers they put up and how well the team has played.

Top 10 Offensive Players

1. Dylan Brush, Phoenix Horizon, RB, So.

Brush, a sophomore, is averaging 11.2 yards on 104 carries. He's gained 1,166 yards and scored 20 touchdowns on the ground for the Huskies, who were 5-0 ahead of the Oct. 2 game vs. Notre Dame. His longest touchdown from scrimmage is 87 yards. He's got elite track speed.

2. Will Mencl, Chandler, QB, Sr.

The Oregon commit leads the state in passing yards with 1,659. He has thrown 15 touchdown passes, completing 65% of his passes. He has run for 134 yards and three scores. The Wolves are No. 3 in this week's Arizona Republic 6A poll.

3. Daryl Little II, Phoenix Thunderbird, QB/Athlete, Jr.

When Thunderbird needed a quarterback, Little stepped up big time, leading the 4A Titans to a 4-1 record. He's leading an offense that is averaging 337 rushing yards a game. He has run 44 times for 692 yards (15.7 yards per carry) and 11 TDs. He has completed 27 of 44 passes for 480 yards and six TDs with a 138.3 QB rating. He has no turnovers. And he's caught four passes for 66 yards and a score.

4. Kael Snyder, Gilbert Perry, QB, Sr.

He's improved significantly in the past year. He's got a 148.1 quarterback rating in Jeremy Hathcock's offense, leading the Pumas to a 4-1 record entering Oct. 1-2 games. He has completed 50 of 69 passes for 918 yards and 12 touchdowns with just one interception. The Boise State commit also has run for 148 yards and three TDs on 15 carries.

5. Jamerrius Anthony, Phoenix Cortez, QB/Athlete, Sr.

Arguably the best two-way player in 2A, he's put 4-2 Cortez on his back in what's been a turnaround season. He has carried the ball 120 times for 1,164 yards and 10 TDs, averaging 9.7 yards a carry. He has 672 passing yards and 11 more scores.

6. Blake Roskopf, Goodyear Desert Edge, QB, Sr.

The Scorpions (4-2) lost two straight games through Sept. 25, but not for the lack of offensive production from the Washington commit, who is averaging 316.6 yards passing a game. He has completed 85 of 130 passes for 1,583 yards and 17 TDs with five interceptions.

7. Roman Oliver, Chandler Hamilton, WR, So.

Has picked up the slack considerably from his older brother Roye III, last year's state Player of the Year, who missed several games with an injury. Roman already has more catches (35), yards (547) and touchdowns (seven) receiving than he did in 10 games last season. He had a combined 21 catches for 356 yards and five touchdowns in wins over Queen Creek Casteel and Gilbert Williams Field.

8. Easton Conner, Scottsdale Desert Mountain, RB, Jr.

He is averaing 9 yards on 33 total carries with 11 rushing touchdowns. He had four touchdowns on five carries in the season-opening 62-0 rout of Scottsdale Saguaro.

9. Gavin Wyler, Queen Creek Benjamin Franklin, QB, Sr.

He's thrown 24 touchdown passes without being intercepted in the Chargers' 6-0 start in 3A. He's a big reason why his team is ranked No. 1. He has a 153.8 QB rating with 1,278 yards passing, completing 72 of 100 passes. He can make plays with his legs. He has run for 151 yards and score on eight carries.

10. Torrin Hill, Peoria Centennial, TE, Jr.

He has the second-most receiving yards in Arizona with 654. Hill, who is catching passes from his twin brother Titus, has 28 receptions and seven touchdowns. He is also a great blocker.

11. D'Mari Bryant, Goodyear Millennium, RB, Sr.

He is averaging a remarkable 15.6 yards per carry in the Tigers' 5-0 start. He has 918 rushing yards and 12 TDs on just 59 carries, as he's usually spending most of the second half on the sideline in blowouts.

12. Jayce Wilson, Scottsdale Chaparral, RB, Sr.

In the team's 3-2 start, he has rushed for 466 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging 7.5 yards. He has also caught 12 passes for 187 yards and two TDs.

13. Noah Roberts, Chandler Basha, Sr.

The Texas commit has helped the Bears to a 3-2 record with his ability to make plays running the ball and catching the ball. He's faced some of the toughest defenses through the first half of the season, as teams try to focus on him.

14. Ryder Noche, Phoenix Brophy Prep, Sr.

He moved from receiver to running back. He averages 10.5 yards a carry with 399 yards and five TDs rushing. He has 11 catches for 79 yards. He has put together three straight 100-yard rushing games since moving into the backfield.

15. Braxton Huynh, Peoria Liberty, WR, Sr.

Through the Lions' 4-1 start, he caught 29 passes for 511 yards and four TDs. He is averaging 17.6 yards a catch, helping out sophomore quarterback Jason Haines find a rhythm. Huynh needed only seven catches and 21 yards to surpass his junior-season totals.

16. Brenner Green, Snowflake, RB, Sr.

He's been putting the Lobos' offense on his back after an early-season injury to quarterback Jacob LaDuke. The 5-foot-11, 210-pounder has 881 yards and scored 13 touchdowns on the ground for the 5-0 Lobos.

17. Benjamin Wolfley, Goodyear Trivium Prep, RB, Sr.

The fast, quick back has rushed for 1,186 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 10.9 yards a carry for the 3-2 team. In the opener against Cortez, he ran for 339 yards and two TDs on 20 carries.

18. Zerek Sidney, Desert Edge, WR, Sr.

He ranks fourth in the state in receiving yards with 574, averaging 21 yards on 27 catches and five touchdowns. Committed to Washington.

19. Jesus Enriquez, Tucson Pueblo, WR, Jr.

On a 3-2 team (through Sept. 25), he has caught 31 passes for a state-leading 704 yards and 10 TDs. He averages 23 yards per catch.

20. Victor Aguilar, Parker, RB, Sr.

He leads the state in rushing (as of Sept. 25) on a 6-0 team with 1,284 yards and has scored 14 rushing TDs. He has scored three touchdowns in a game three times.
