College football games today: How to watch Week 5 schedule on Thursday

Week 5 of the college football season begins on Thursday with a pair of "so-called "Group of Six" matchups.

The night's slate of games begins in New Mexico when Western Kentucky travels to New Mexico State for the start of Conference USA play at 8 p.m. ET.

The matchup at Aggie Memorial Stadium features two teams looking to improve from 1-3 starts, with the Hilltoppers aiming for a second straight win over the Aggies after a 35-16 victory in last year's meeting. In that game, Rodney Tisdale Jr. accounted for four total touchdowns to lead Western Kentucky to the road win.

Then comes the headliner of the night in Tulsa, Oklahoma between Tulsa and North Texas, at 9 p.m. ET.

In a matchup that will see ESPN's "SportsCenter" on-site in the lead-up to the game, the Golden Hurricane will look to bounce back from last week's loss on the road to Arkansas, while Tayven Jackson and the Mean Green will look to win back-to-back games for the first time this season and open American Conference play with a win.

Tulsa will be tasked with stopping North Texas running back Jahiem White, who is off to a strong start on the ground with seven rushing touchdowns, which is the fourth most in the country, through four games.
