It's looking like a rainy game day for Tennessee football fans this weekend.

The forecast for Saturday is overcast with rain when the No. 17 Vols (3-1, 0-1 SEC) host Auburn (3-1, 1-1) on Oct. 3 (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN) at Neyland Stadium.

Occasional showers on Friday night are predicted to continue into Saturday, and there's a 50% chance of rain and a high of 79 degrees on Oct. 3, according to weather.com. The National Weather Service predicts a 70% chance of precipitation on Saturday with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. ET.

Tennessee has played in some challenging weather already this season, from extreme heat in the season opener against Furman to smothering humidity at Georgia Tech.

If the matchup with Auburn ends up being a rainy one, it'll be another obstacle for the Vols' passing game, which is still finding its rhythm with freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon. Tennessee is only averaging 196.5 passing yards through four games, which ranks No. 106 in the nation. The Vols also only rushed for 70 yards on 44 carries last week, and they'll need their running game back on track if there are wet conditions.
