If Nebraska football fans are paying attention, Trae Taylor is giving them a potential preview of what's to come.

The five-star Cornhuskers' quarterback commit put on a clinic on Friday, Sept. 25, with a seven-touchdown performance for Millard South in a thrilling 49-47 victory over Omaha North.

The victory pushed the Patriots to 5-0 on the season, with Taylor playing a crucial role. He transferred in to play in-state ahead of his move to Nebraska for college, transferring from Carmel Catholic School in Mundelein, Illinois. Without him, the Corsairs are 2-4 in 2026 after reaching the second round of the IHSA playoffs last season.

Taylor and Millard South will look to move to 6-0 when they take on Millard West at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Oct. 2.
