Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray is returning to Athens, Georgia, to commentate a Georgia game for the first time of his career. Murray will call Georgia's Week 5 game against the Vanderbilt Commodores on SEC Network.
Murray has been around the SEC quite a bit as an analyst, but he still had not returned to UGA. Murray is Georgia's all-time leading passer (he also holds the all-time SEC passing record).
"I have been to every SEC stadium to cover a college football game besides Athens, Tuscaloosa, Austin, and Norman," Murray said on his podcast, "So, I get to check one off the box."
In Murray's return to Athens, he'll get to watch as former five-star Georgia commitment Jared Curtis potentially (Curtis is questionable to play) plays in his second ever road start. Murray has some strong opinions on Curtis and thinks that he has NFL level size and arm talent.
"This kid has got the size," Murray said on Curtis. "He's got the strength, the arm, the arm angles, the ability to maneuver the pocket, create with his legs."
He knows Curtis will face a massive challenge against Georgia's defense. Murray considers the secondary to be the strength of Georgia's defensive unit.
