Why Michigan players guarded the midfield logo after Ohio State win

Even though Michigan lost to hated rival Ohio State on Saturday, the Wolverines refused to let the Buckeyes celebrate at midfield at the Big House.
After the 27-9 Ohio State victory, a host of Wolverines players stood on the big “M” at midfield to prevent any Buckeyes players from celebrating the huge victory on the Michigan logo. Why is that?
MICHIGAN: Why wasn’t Jaishawn Barham ejected for head-butting referee?
Well, the Buckeyes probably would have done some celebrating at midfield, particularly after what happened with last year’s game in Ohio. Remember the fracas over planting a flag?
Midfield celebrations are now a sore subject in the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry, after all.

We’ll see if Ohio State takes a similar approach if Michigan beats them at the Shoe next fall.
