The Georgia football program is currently gearing up for its upcoming game on the road vs the Alabama Crimson Tide in primetime. The Bulldogs are coming off another dominant home win, this time over the Vanderbilt Commodores, to push their record to 4-0 on the young 2026 college football season.

Facing off against the Tide in Tuscaloosa, which has been a house of horrors for Kirby Smart throughout his career, will not be an easy task, and recently, college football media personality Rece Davis stopped by ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show to break down what he wants to see from Bulldogs quarterback Gunner Stockton in this matchup.

“This will be a big test for Georgia and a big test for Gunner Stockton. Georgia is going to have to make some explosive plays,” said Davis, per Pat McAfee on X, formerly Twitter.

Davis also noted the Crimson Tide defense’s propensity to both make and give up big plays so far this year, which was certainly the case in their roller coaster victory over the Florida State Seminoles a couple of weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Georgia has been steadily chugging along this season, sitting at 4-0 and yet to play in a close game so far in 2026. It will certainly be interesting to see how the team responds if they find themselves in a close game in a hostile road environment down the stretch on Saturday. Stockton will need to rely heavily on the experience he garnered last year in his first full year as the starter in order to help his team earn a big win.
