The Wisconsin Badgers have finally seemed to have gotten their quarterback situation figured out with Old Dominion transfer Colton Joseph.
While Joseph hasn’t been perfect, there have been plenty of signs to buy into. A first in the Luke Fickell era.
One of the many recent names who have since moved on to another program is Billy Edwards Jr.
Edwards moved to North Carolina after one season with the Badgers, where he played in two games in the 2025 season thanks to a PCL strain, compiling 113 yards through the air on a 43.8% completion rate.
Edwards hit the portal following the 4-8 record, rated as the nation’s No. 757 best prospect and has since landed smoothly with the Tar Heels.
Through four games this season, Edwards has notched 819 yards on a 57.5% completion rate and six touchdowns to go against three interceptions.
Like the Badgers, the Tar Heels had to take on the buzzsaw that was the No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Despite Notre Dame taking the final result, Edwards threw for 208 yards on a 60.7% completion rate to go along with three touchdowns and two interceptions in the 37-26 loss.
Up next for the Tar Heels is the undefeated Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday, Oct. 10.
