The Georgia Bulldogs have submitted their official availability report to the SEC ahead of Georgia's game at the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Georgia running back Chauncey Bowens has already ruled out for the Alabama game in a bit of a surprise.
Bowens leads Georgia in rushing touchdowns with six this season. He is fourth on the team with 124 rushing yards this season, but he has the most rushes of any Georgia player. Bowens is Georgia's best power back and will be missed against Alabama. Last year in the regular season, Bowens ran for 119 yards and a touchdown in Georgia's loss to Alabama.
Georgia did get some good news on the injury front. The Bulldogs are expected to play running back Nate Frazier (ribs) after he sat out the past two weeks against Vanderbilt and Oklahoma. Frazier does not appear on the injury report. Frazier has a team-high 211 rushing yards on 26 rushes and has five rushing touchdowns.
Still, it is unclear if Frazier will be 100% for the Alabama game. Georgia will rely on the explosive Dwight Phillips and Bo Walker to play snaps when Frazier is out. Georgia running back Dante Dowdell is likely out for the season after being involved in a serious ATV accident this offseason.
