What channel is UNC's October 10 football game at Pitt on?

With a pair of close losses against historic football powerhouses, can the North Carolina Tar Heels break back into the winning column this weekend?

Today at 12 p.m., UNC continues its loaded ACC slate with a road matchup vs. the undefeated Pitt Panthers. North Carolina (2-2, 0-1 ACC) is coming off an 11-point defeat vs. Notre Dame, while Pitt (5-0, 2-0 ACC) survived a last-second field goal attempt at Virginia Tech.

Despite playing .500 football, the 2026 Tar Heels showcase a much-improved on-field product. UNC is generating big plays, even against tough defenses like the Fighting Irish. North Carolina's defense, if you take away last week, is much-improved in all areas. The Tar Heels seem to truly enjoy playing with each other and, unlike 2025, off-field headlines aren't impacting on-field success.

Saturday may prove a challenge for Pitt's electric offense, with veteran journeyman backup Holden Geriner getting his first career start. The Panthers lost star Mason Heintschel to a torn ACL in Blacksburg, so they now rely on a guy with previous stops at Auburn and Texas State.

UNC has to get its pass-rush going again, generating no sacks in last week's loss to Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish also took away North Carolina's run game, which totaled 77 yards on 23 carries and failed to score. When your top two units struggle, it's tough to win games.

If you're up in western Pennsylvania, the hope is you're inside Acrisure Stadium today. If you're watching this highly-anticipated matchup on TV, your favorite streaming device, listening on the radio or somewhere else, keep reading below for more broadcast information.

UNC vs. Pitt prediction, picks, odds

UNC hits the road again this weekend, facing an undefeated Pitt team that just lost its starting quarterback for the season. North Carolina should've beaten Clemson and, minus a couple mistakes vs. Notre Dame, pulls the upset of a century. The Tar Heels know they're a better team than their last two games showed. UNC's pass-rush will thrive on Saturday, making life miserable for Pitt QB Holden Geriner, who'll be making his first career start. North Carolina turns Pitt over a couple times, while the run game finds ways to get going. Jordan Shipp builds upon last week's career game, while the tight end room gives Billy Edwards a reliable security blanket in the passing game. The Panthers play well, but the Tar Heels outshine them and deliver another early-season upset. UNC 20, Pitt 16
