It is the beginning of fall in Happy Valley and a ranked opponent is making the trip to Beaver Stadium. That can only mean one thing. It is time for a whiteout game in Happy Valley. Penn State (3-2, 0-2 B1G) hosts No. 17 USC (5-1, 2-1 B1G; No. 19 in AP Top 25) for a primetime game on Saturday night, and the whiteout will be in full effect for one of college football's best scenes.
Penn State has lost each of its first two Big Ten games in the past couple of weeks, including last weekend's Friday night blowout loss at Northwestern. Penn State is still without key wide receiver Koby Howard, so quarterback Rocco Becht will have to his other options, including tight end Ben Brahmer and wide receivers Brett Eskildsen and Chase Sowell.
USC has lost once this season, against Oregon, but faces some concerns with its defense. The Trojans survived a cross-country trip once this season already against Rutgers, but the USC defense had a tough game against a struggling Rutgers offense. The offense has enough firepower at its disposal with the Big Ten's leading passer, Jayden Maiava, star freshman receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt and running back King Miller.

It is going to feel much more like fall for tonight's game. Temperatures at kickoff are expected to be in the low 60s and will be dropping down to the mid-50s during the game. No rain is expected to make its way through Happy Valley during the game. The rain should be holding off until Sunday morning.
