On Saturday night, Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium hosted college football's biggest game during Week 6, a Top 10 matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs.
In the game, the two powerhouse programs went back-and-forth for four quarters, with Georgia eventually coming away with a 20-17 win over the Crimson Tide. The game featured a number of lead changes, with the Crimson Tide ultimately outscored 10-3 in the second half after carrying a 14-10 lead into halftime.
Alabama was also unable to capitalize on four Georgia fumbles in the game, each of which the Bulldogs recovered, while also struggling defensively on third downs.
On offense, quarterback Keelon Russell had a solid showing by completing 16-of-30 passes for 185 yards and one touchdown. Russell also had a big showing running the ball, as did Trae'shawn Brown who led the Crimson Tide with 90 yards on nine carries.

Hate to complain about officiating, but it is hard to put into words how bad tonight has been. Unbelievable. Proud of this team no matter what.

This not being a DPI on Georgia is insane. pic.twitter.com/K6bINPvBjL

Georgia won due to depth. Alabama just didn’t have the horses to maintain their pass rush and stuff the run in the second half, and Georgia did.
People will focus on the PI and splash plays, but that was all set up by Georgia running it better late making Bama strain a lot more.

I’ve never seen so many crucial calls/no-calls go against Alabama in a game this big.
1. I don’t know how there was enough video evidence to overturn that INT
2. I believe they missed a targeting call on Ryan Coleman-Williams
3. Missed a very obvious PI— Brooks Carter (@BrooksACarter) October 11, 2026
Reax to Georgia’s win at Alabama:
— That was pass interference. Every. Single. Time.
— Gunner Stockton is the most underrated player in the country, although not in his own locker room.
— There will be a rematch, either SEC title game or the playoff.

I’d argue the missed pass interference call actually won it for Georgia. https://t.co/5jmjYMvqUX
