SEC power rankings: New No. 1 team after rivalry week results

In one of the wildest weekends of 2025 so far, the Southeastern Conference Championship matchup has been decided following the results of rivalry week across the league.

Ole Miss star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and running back Kewan Lacy ran wild for a third consecutive Egg Bowl victory over Mississippi State to kickstart Friday’s slate in Week 14. The Georgia Bulldogs held on to defeat Georgia Tech. At the same time, the Texas Longhorns snatched Texas A&M’s chances of reaching the conference title game for the first time in program history by knocking off the Aggies in Austin, Texas, on Friday night.

The Longhorns’ win over Mike Elko’s squad secured Georgia’s position in Atlanta, who will face the Alabama Crimson Tide after Kalen DeBoer and company captured an Iron Bowl win over Auburn on Saturday night in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Despite all the noise around Vanderbilt‘s odds to reach the CFP, Diego Pavia put on a clinic against the Tennessee Volunteers with 433 yards of total offense. The win should solidify the Commodores’ spot in the playoff, along with the Oklahoma Sooners, who took care of business in a closely contested matchup against the LSU Tigers.

While the regular season has officially concluded, there is still much football to be played from the league’s programs. As the SEC officially enters the postseason, here is where every team in the conference stands in the Week 15 power rankings:
