Five Reasons Nebraska Will Win: Oregon

I really thought I had it last week. The Huskers had Indiana on the ropes, but just weren’t able to close the game out.
Not this week though my friends. The Huskers are going to roll into Eugene and hand Oregon another loss.
These are your reasons why:
#1 THE HUSKERS KNOW DYLAN RAIOLA
Dante Moore is listed as out again this week. Last week Dylan Raiola did not have a good game. He was 6 of 19 with 43 yards, 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. I don’t know if he will be starting against the Huskers, but if he does, I think the Blackshirts have his number.
While the Husker defensive coaches are new, not all of the players and coaches on the team are. They are well aware of Raiola’s tendencies and will be able to capitalize on it.
I say rush the pocket the whole game and make him scramble.
#2 ANTHONY COLANDREA
I know I say this every week, but time and time again Anthony Colandrea puts this team on his back and does all he can to win the games. His ability to run and scramble, gives Nebraska an edge. Colandrea had 311 yards of total offense last week, marking the fifth of six games that he has had over 250 yards of total offense.
With Colandrea leading this offense, the Huskers are sure to capitalize on the Oregon defense.
#3 THE HUSKER RUSHING GAME
Nebraska ranks third in the Big Ten for rushing offense, averaging 213. 8 yards per game. Oregon’s defense is ninth in rushing defense. I like the way this stacks up for our Huskers. Jamal Rule, Mekhi Nelson, and Isaiah Mozee will get this game going on the ground. The Husker offensive line has been doing a good job blocking and they are going to control the line of scrimmage so that these Husker running backs can do what they want. When the Huskers need a different kind of back in the game, Vincent Genatone will add a little more depth to this line up.
#4 HUSKER DEFENSE CAPITALIZING ON TURNOVERS
Last week, Oregon had seven turnovers against UCLA. While I’m sure they had a focus this week on taking care of the football, this is the time for the Husker defense to strike and take advantage. Watching the UCLA tape will give this Husker defense and edge to be able to do the same thing as the Bruins did.
#5 THE STREAK MUST END
Once again this week, the Huskers are playing a ranked team. Well, sort of. Oregon is unranked in the AP poll, but comes in at #25 in the Coaches poll. Last week we heard all of the talk of the Huskers being 0-31 against ranked teams. This is time for it to end. This is their chance and these Huskers are going to take.
I’ll talk to you in two weeks when Nebraska is bowl eligible.
