It’s homecoming in Oxford and what perfect timing as Ole Miss plays host to former Rebels Austin Simmons, Cayden Lee and Chris Graves Jr. This will also be Kewan Lacy’s first game against his former school.

This will be the ninth meeting ever between these two schools and Ole Miss has only one win, all the way back in 1974. Every game in the SEC feels like a de facto playoff game. While I would not be shocked to see a three loss SEC program slide in as the 11 seed, let’s not count on it.

Simmons and Lee have been quite the dynamic duo for the Tigers. In fact, Lee is 5th in the country in receiving yards with 616. Mizzou has quite the balanced attack on offense despite the loss of Heisman candidate Ahmad Hardy. Jamal Roberts is second in the nation with 828 yards on the ground. A scary proposition for an Ole Miss defense that has struggled mightily against the run.

Missouri is tied for 3rd in the SEC with 18 sacks on defense but Ole Miss has given up the least in the conference with just 5. The Rebels only have 9 while the Tigers have only given up 6. This is the kind of offense that the Rebels will not be able to have multiple missed tackles and missed assignments. Hopefully the defense continues to build on last week’s performance and Kewan Lacy is healthy enough to handle the load. It will be all hands on deck for one of the more complete teams Ole Miss will face this year.
