South Shore Tech’s Gavin Meinhold has been voted the South Shore High School Football Player of the Week.
Meinhold received over 2,000 votes to earn the honor. In a 36-20 win over Keefe Tech in the MVADA small-school semifinals, Meinhold had 7 tackles and 2 quarterback sacks.

Tim Durocher, Sr., Plymouth South
Durocher accounted for 177 yards and 4 TDs as the Panthers defeated Plymouth North, 27-21, in overtime at Fenway Park. Durocher scored the winning TD on a 6-yard run.
Gio Lynch-Ruberio, Sr., Plymouth North
Lynch-Ruberio ran for 157 yards and 3 TDs in a 27-21 loss to Plymouth South.
Jake Varholak, Sr. Hingham
Varholak was 9 of 13 passing for 142 yards and a TD while also rushing for a TD in a 50-0 win over Scituate.
Johnny Burgio, Sr., South Shore Tech
Burgio ran for 164 yards and 2 TDs in a 22-6 win over Southeastern.
Colton Metcalf, Sr., Blue Hills
Metcalf ran for TDs of 1 and 74 yards in a 30-16 win over Bristol-Plymouth.
Amahri Gomes, Sr., Weymouth
Gomes ran for 215 yards and 3 TDs as the Wildcats defeated Walpole, 28-19, to clinch the Bay State Conference Herget Division title.
Colin Arnold, Sr., Hanover
Arnold threw for 260 yards and 4 TDs in a 49-8 win over Norwell.
Peter Clarke, Sr., Hanover
Clarke ran for a TD and had a TD catch as the Hawks defeated Norwell, 49-8.
Mike Wildfire, Sr., Cohasset
Wildfire threw a pair of TD passes and ran for another in a 28-7 win over Hull.
Leo Steinberg, Sr., Quincy
Steinberg ran for 206 yards and 3 TDs as the Presidents defeated North Quincy, 28-14.
Cole Doyle, Soph., North Quincy
Doyle threw a pair of TD passes in a 28-14 loss to Quincy.
Nolan Kenneally, Sr., Carver
Kenneally ran for a 70-yard TD as the Crusaders rallied from down 13 to defeated Middleboro, 22-21.
Sean Cheesebro, Jr., Marshfield
Cheesebro hauld in 4 receptions for 93 yards and a TD in a 16-5 win over Duxbury. That clinched a Patriot League Keenan Division for the Rams.
John Burke, Soph., Silver Lake
Burke ran for 3 TDs in a 29-22 win over Pembroke.
