Michigan State football is undergoing a transitional period with Pat Fitzgerald gearing up to take over the Spartans program.
With this change in leadership, Michigan State is going to have to do a lot of work in order to retain it's 2026 recruiting class before Wednesday's National Signing Day. While some players are opening up their recruitments, ahead of signing day, others are reaffirming their desire to sign with Spartans on Wednesday.
One prospect that reaffirmed his commitment to Michigan State was Christopher Knauls, a Frisco (TX) native, and a 6-foot-4, 265 pound defensive tackle. He is a 3-star prospect.
Michigan State beat out a number of big-time schools for Knauls' commitment. According to 247Sports, Knauls held offers from more than 20 schools, with some of the more notable programs being Boise State, Colorado, California, Oklahoma State, Houston, Kansas, Kansas State, Indiana, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Utah, UNLV and Tulane.
I would like to thank Coach Smith for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play for Michigan State. With that said, I am looking forward to signing my NLI on Wed, December 3 #GoGreen 🟢⚪️ #LM36🕊❤️ pic.twitter.com/M0uRWSSIGG
