Michigan football has long had just one wide receiver commitment in the 2027 class in Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel four-star wideout Quentin Burrell, but the Wolverines are finally getting some help. The maize and blue had a visitor committed elsewhere make it to campus this weekend for the Penn State game, and it appears that the Wolverines did about as good a job as they possibly could have.

2027 Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange three-star wide receiver Yuto Kawamura-Johnson had been committed to Toledo since June, but after making it to Ann Arbor this weekend, he opted to try his hand at a bigger school. According to On3's Hayes Fawcett, Kawamura-Johnson flipped his pledge to Michigan football on Tuesday morning.

Unrated by 247Sports, Kawamura-Johnson is most highly rated by ESPN, which has him as the No. 198 wide receiver in the country. The Rivals Industry Ranking has him as the No. 2,243 player in the country, regardless of position.

He's listed at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, and has offers from Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, UConn, Wake Forest, Louisville, and others.
