The start of the early signing period is approaching quickly for Alabama football.

As the Crimson Tide prepares for its SEC championship matchup with Georgia, Alabama is trying to secure the next wave of its future, one that includes high-profile in-state weapons like running back Ezavier Crowell and wide receiver Cederian Morgan.

Where does Alabama football stand in the national recruiting conversation? Here’s a look at the latest recruiting rankings before the strata of the early signing period.

Kalen DeBoer has Alabama near the top of the recruiting heap once again in the 2026 class.

The Crimson Tide brings in the third-best class in the country according to both 247Sports’ composite rankings and 247Sports. On3 has Alabama as No. 6.

Alabama is one of three programs nationally with four composite five-stars committed in 2026: Crowell, Georgia linebacker Xavier Griffin, Georgia cornerback Jorden Edmonds and Maryland safety Jireh Edwards.

When is early signing day?

The start of the early signing period is Wednesday, Dec. 3 and lasts through Friday, Dec. 5

The regular signing period begins Feb. 4, 2026.
