As the 2026 season continues to decline and a key 2027 recruit flips to Boston College, finding positive recruiting news for Penn State football has felt like finding a needle in a hay stack. Or more painfully, finding hay in the needle stack.
Penn State Offers Massachusetts Lineman
Penn State has extended an offer to 2029 four-star defensive lineman Kennedy Hurte-Jones:
2029 is a long way away, but Penn State needs to rebuild the strong recruiting pipelines in the Northeast. His other power conference offers include Virginia Tech, Virginia, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Boston College, and Rutgers.
2028 Wide Receiver Target Earns Fourth Star
2028 wide receiver target Christopha Alston picked up a fourth star:
Penn State is currently the favorite to land Alston. His other power conference offers include Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Pitt, Syracuse, Maryland, and Minnesota. Alston is the No. 18 wide receiver in the 2028 class and has visited Penn State twice.
Penn State Offers Mario Manningham Jr.
Yes, that is a real sentence in 2026. Penn State extended an offer to Mario Manningham’s son:
Manningham Jr. has received just two offers so far- Michigan and now Penn State. He announced his offer on October 15, exactly 21 years after his dad infamously ruined Penn State’s unbeaten season in 2005.
MJ Woods Decommits from Boston College
Four-star defensive lineman MJ Woods has decommitted from Boston College:
Woods has scheduled a visit to Penn State for later this season. He is the No. 59 defensive lineman in the class and a strong potential flip target for the Nittany Lions. His other power conference offers include Missouri, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Miami, and Virginia Tech.
