The Georgia Bulldogs are back on top of the SEC class of 2026 recruiting rankings by a thin margin over the Alabama Crimson Tide. Georgia has the most commitments (31) of any SEC program, but the Bulldogs do have a few remaining key recruits to worry about entering the early signing period (Wednesday, Dec. 3 to Friday, Dec. 5).
Georgia’s top concern is retaining five-star quarterback commit Jared Curtis, who is considering flipping to Vanderbilt. Curtis is the highest ranked player in the country.
Other key trends to watch in the early signing period include Oklahoma’s recent recruiting boost. Oklahoma has the No. 15 recruiting class in the country and has added some key commitments recently. Five SEC programs have recently hired new head coaches. Ole Miss, Florida, LSU, Auburn and Arkansas are all looking to keep their respective classes after recent coaching changes. Kentucky is still looking for a head coach (expected to be Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein) and unsurprisingly it has the SEC’s worst recruiting class.
The SEC has five of the country’s top 10 recruiting classes, but that’s poised to shuffle some with last-minute flips.
