STILLWATER — Donovan Woods is still helping Oklahoma State.
Woods, a quarterback and safety/linebacker on the OSU football team from 2003-07, has been named associate athletic director of development for the OSU Foundation, per a university statement Wednesday. He's worked with the OSU Foundation for more than 12 years.
As part of his new role, Woods will focus on cultivating and stewarding athletic support for the institution. He will continue to office out of the OSU-OKC campus.
Woods was on the 2006 OSU team that beat Alabama in the Independence Bowl and the 2007 team that beat Indiana in the Insight Bowl. He was voted Defensive MVP of the Insight Bowl win over Indiana.
After his football career ended in 2010, Woods put his marketing degree from OSU to use.
“I am extremely blessed to continue to be part of the cowboy family,” Woods said. “My time as a student-athlete, my role at our OSU-OKC campus, and now as a part of athletics provides me with a unique perspective of Oklahoma State University. I can't think of a better place to continue positively impacting the state's institution.”
