Kim Kardashian dressed as her 13-year-old daughter North West for an early Halloween costume, copying the teen’s bright blue hair, a black grill and goth-inspired accessories. The playful tribute follows public criticism of North’s style and adds a twist to their previous Halloween costumes.
As XXL reported Tuesday, Kardashian posted photos and videos of the transformation on Instagram on October 20, ahead of Halloween itself. She captioned the carousel simply, “Halloween 2026,” letting the outfit explain the joke.
The SKIMS founder wore a waist-length turquoise wig, dramatic lashes, faux facial piercings, a black grill and long pointed nails. She completed the look with a layered shirt and skirt, platform sneakers, chunky jewelry, and a skull necklace closely resembling pieces her daughter has worn.
The resemblance extended beyond the clothing. In one photo, Kardashian covered part of her mouth with her hand, a pose North has used in her own pictures. Her outfit included a T-shirt featuring cover art from North’s debut EP, “N0rth4evr,” released in May.
North has spent much of the year developing her music and her personal style in public. Her blue hair, facial accessories, and darker outfits have attracted attention, including criticism from people who argue the looks are inappropriate for someone her age.
During a TikTok livestream with her mother earlier this month, North pushed back against claims that her style was “demonic.” She urged viewers not to judge her character by her appearance and clarified that her facial piercings were not real.
Kardashian defended her daughter’s willingness to experiment, while also explaining that she sets limits. She has not allowed North to get certain real piercings, despite the teenager’s interest in them.
The costume drew reactions from her family. Khloé Kardashian commented “Twins!!!!!!” while Kris Jenner wrote, “This is so fun!!!!!,” USA TODAY reported.
Mother and daughter have dressed up together before. In 2023, they recreated Cher and Dionne from Clueless, and North also wore a costume inspired by her father Ye’s Graduation bear mascot. This year, Kim Kardashian made North herself the inspiration.
