Vanderbilt football injury report vs Kentucky, who's in and out

In addition to a number of long-term injuries, Vanderbilt football will be without Brian Allen Jr. against Kentucky and has two key safeties questionable.

The Commodores (3-4, 0-4 SEC) are already without several players out long term, including backup quarterback Blaze Berlowitz, defensive lineman Aaron Bryant, linebacker Jamison Curtis, cornerback Jaylin Lackey and offensive lineman Gunner Givens. But Dontae Carter and Davin Chandler are both questionable. Carter missed the game against Arkansas last week.

Three players were also listed as probable on the initial report Oct. 21: cornerback Cayden Daniels, defensive lineman Hayden Bray and offensive lineman Mitchell Smith.

The Commodores will take on the No. 12 Wildcats (6-1, 4-1) on Oct. 24 (6:30 p.m. CT, SEC Network).

Smith is hoping for a quick return two weeks after undergoing a cleanup knee surgery.
