The final set of College Football Playoff rankings before Championship Saturday will be released on Tuesday evening, and Notre Dame fans will certainly be interested in where the Fighting Irish land after their regular-season finale victory over Stanford.
The Fighting Irish entered their game against the Cardinal at No. 9 in last week’s CFP rankings, and they may stay there when the newest rankings come out.
While Texas A&M did suffer its first loss of the year, there is no way the Aggies will drop below the Irish—especially with a head to head win over Marcus Freeman’s bunch.
Alabama checked in at No. 10 last week, but will a close win over Auburn jump the Crimson Tide over ND? I don’t think so.
As for Miami, well, the Hurricanes notched a nice road win over Pittsburgh last weekend and do have a head to head win over the Irish. However, ND’s body of work does speak for itself. I don’t expect the ‘Canes to jump the Irish this week.
