OXFORD — Ole Miss football offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. has followed Lane Kiffin to LSU, per report.

Weis Jr. and five other former Ole Miss football assistant coaches have been hired at LSU, according to a report from The Advocate on Dec. 1

The other coaches are tight ends coach Joe Cox, wide receivers coach George McDonald, inside wide receivers coach Sawyer Jordan, strength and conditioning coach Nick Savage and senior execute director of player personnel Mike Williams.

Weis will receive a three-year deal worth $6 million, per the report. It said all other coaches are on two-year agreements accept Jordan, who has a one-year deal.

The report did not specify if those coaches will stay on through the end of the Ole Miss season.

Even without Kiffin, the No. 5 Rebels (11-1) will make the College Football Playoff.

New Ole Miss coach Pete Golding will need to assemble additions for his staff. Golding is the former defensive coordinator, so he will have openings at both coordinator positions in 2026.
