The ACC released its 2025 all-conference team on Tuesday, and it is littered with Miami Hurricanes.
Fourteen players were named first-teamers, second-teamers, third-teamers, and four more players were picked as honorable mentions.
Four players — wide receiver Malachi Toney, offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa, and defensive linemen Rueben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor — were selected to the first team. In addition to being a first-team wide receiver, Toney was a second-team all-purpose player, which rewards him for his ability on special teams and his versatility on offense.
Offensive guard Anez Cooper, defensive tackle Ahmad Moten Sr., cornerback Keionte Scott and safety Jakobe Thomas were picked for the second team. Quarterback Carson Beck, running back Mark Fletcher Jr., offensive tackle Markel Bell, center James Brockermeyer, and linebacker Wesley Bissainthe were picked as third-teamers.
Defensive tackle David Blay Jr., linebacker Mo Toure, cornerback Damari Brown, safety Zechariah Poyser and kick returner Keelan Marion were named honorable mentions.
Toney, Mauigoa, Bain and Mesidor have been among the best nationally at their positions.
Toney has burst onto the scene this season, setting the Miami record for receiving yards by a freshman (970). Toney had seven touchdown catches in the regular season and has a good chance to set the UM record for receptions in a season in the postseason. Toney has also made highlight-reel plays as a punt returner and as a quarterback, throwing a pair of touchdown passes.
Mauigoa is a projected first-round pick in next year’s NFL draft. The Miami right tackle has started all 38 games since he arrived on campus. This season, Mauigoa had an 85.9 offensive grade from Pro Football Focus, which ranked eighth nationally and second in the ACC. His 88.8 pass-blocking grade was 20th nationally and second in the conference. His run-blocking grade was also 20th nationally and second in the ACC. Mauigoa allowed just two sacks and nine total pressures this season.
Bain was one of the nation’s top defensive players this year. The junior Miami native had 37 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. But his relatively low traditional statistics belied a stellar season. Bain had a 92.9 defensive grade, which was second-best in the nation. Bain was fifth in the nation with 57 total quarterback pressures.
Mesidor, Bain’s opposite on the defensive line, was equally as dominant. He closed out the regular season with 46 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and a team-best seven sacks. Mesidor had 92.2 defensive grade, which was seventh in the nation and second in the ACC (behind only Bain). Mesidor was 19th nationally with 44 quarterback pressures.
