College football's Early national signing day once again will include Stark County-area high school football players signing with NCAA Division I programs.
Here's a look at where several area players are expected to sign Division I national letters of intent on Wednesday, Dec. 3. We'll update with any additional D-1 signings.
Here's what we know:
Ben Congdon signing with Miami (Florida)
Tusky Valley lineman
The 6-foot-8, 295-pound Congdon verbally committed to the University of Miami (Fla.) back in March after lots of interest from assorted heavyweights. He was recruited as an offensive tackle but starred on both sides of the ball for Tusky Valley. Congdon is one of two Northeast Ohio players expected to sign with the Hurricanes, with Walsh Jesuit wide receiver Milan Parris being the other.
Preston Dazey signing with Toledo
Perry lineman
- The 6-5, 290-pound Dazey helped the run-oriented Panthers average 5.8 yards per carry this past season. A versatile athlete, Dazey started at center on Perry's Division II state runner-up basketball team and mixes physicality with agility on the football field.
Samuel Dossous signing with Bowling Green
Massillon defensive lineman
- The 6-4, 220-pound defensive end made 10.5 tackles for loss and three sacks in totaling 43 tackles to help Massillon allow an average of 19.0 points a game and 3.8 yards per rush. He chooses Eddie George's Bowling Green Falcons over MAC-rivals Kent State and Miami.
Lennox Lemon signing with Kent State
Massillon defensive back
The 6-2, 180-pound Lemon brings big-time athleticism to the secondary. An elite long jumper, he was a county champ in that event and finished fourth in the state in Division I in 2024. He picked Kent State from assorted offers including Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Dartmouth, Delaware, Eastern Michigan, Miami (Ohio), Ohio, Temple and Toledo.
Ja'Dyn Williams signing with Indiana
Massillon linebacker
- The 6-2, 205-pound Williams has been an impact defensive player the last two seasons for the Tigers. The top two teams in college football this season both offered Williams and he's choosing the Hoosiers over the Ohio State Buckeyes. He made 108 tackles, 59 solos, 12.5 TFLs, 5.5 sacks and five fumble recoveries this past season, while also intercepting a pass and blocking one kick.
Jack Ziarko signing with Miami
North Canton Hoover lineman
- The 6-4, 285-pound pounder powered the Vikings up front on both sides of the ball. He helped them average 31.9 points a game and total 3,565 yards of offense in winning nine games and reaching the second round of the playoffs. As a defensive tackle, he made 39 tackles, eight for loss, three sacks and one interception.
