For a moment, it appeared LSU football's recruiting class might be in trouble. Four-star wide receiver Kenny Darby decommitted Tuesday afternoon, and it was rumored that five-star defensive line commits Richard Anderson and Lamar Brown wouldn’t sign with the Tigers on National Signing Day.
There still isn’t a clear answer on Brown and Anderson, but the Darby question appears to have been resolved. Four-star wide receiver Corey Barber has committed to LSU after being committed to Ole Miss since May.
Barber is the third flip LSU has gotten from the Rebels, with the first two being IOL Ryan Miret and TE JC Anderson.
Barber, an Alabama native, is ranked 20th among receivers in the nation by 247Sports and is the 144th-ranked player overall.
Barber’s scouting report has all the hallmarks of a productive SEC receiver, noting his ability to win at all three levels and his excellent run-after-the-catch ability. Both qualities of his game are on display below:

Again, Brown and Anderson are the feature pieces of LSU’s class, and it’s crucial that they are signed. But securing Barber’s commitment is a significant first step in a big day for LSU recruiting.
