New Mexico State has officially announced its 2025 early signing day class, with the early signing day period beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and lasting until Friday, Dec. 5.
The Aggies’ class includes three high school players and three junior college recruits. Three of the six players play offense while three others play defense, all on the defensive line.
The Aggies also announced a seventh member of their signing class who is a transfer from another four-year school. He can be found in the Sun-News’ transfer portal tracker here.

High school players
OL Isaiah Garcia-Perez (6-4, 300)
From: Broomfield, CO
Garcia-Perez is a three-star recruit per 247Sports and committed to the Aggies over five other Division I offers, including Fresno State and Washington State. He helped Broomfield High School rush for 258.4 rushing yards per game this season and will join NM State in the summer.
WR JaDarius Sanders (6-2, 175)
From: El Paso, TX
Sanders is a consensus three-star recruit from nearby El Dorado High School. He caught 38 passes for 788 yards and 11 touchdowns while also rushing for 209 yards and three rushing touchdowns this season. Sanders will join the Aggies in the summer.
DE Jamaun Thompson (6-2, 230)
From: Sarasota, FL
Thompson committed to NM State over offers from four other Division I programs, including Akron, South Florida and UTSA. He made 31 tackles, including 15 tackles for a loss, and 7.5 sacks at Booker High School this season and will join the Aggies for spring football.
Junior college recruits
QB Kalani McLeod (6-2, 205)
Last played at: Diablo Valley College (California)
McLeod threw for 3,022 yards, 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions for Diablo Valley this season and ranked ninth among California Community College Athletic Association quarterbacks with a 66.7% completion rate. He had another Division I offer from Mercyhurst and will join NM State for spring football.
DL Jordan-Lebron Downey (6-2, 280)
Last played at: Livingstone College (North Carolina)
Downey played in nine games for Livingstone this season and recorded 25 tackles with 2.5 sacks. He will join the Aggies for spring football.
DL Zhakius Thomas (6-2, 250)
Last played at: Trinity Valley Community College (Texas)
Thomas recorded 52 total tackles and four sacks for Trinity Valley this season. He received five other Division I offers, per 247Sports, including from Georgia State and UL-Monroe. Thomas will join NM State for spring football.
