The Oregon Ducks have signed their quarterback in the 2026 class, as Bryson Beaver is officially a Duck. He committed in late June, less than a month after his decommitment from the Boise State Broncos.

The Murrieta, CA, native saw his recruitment skyrocket after receiving an offer from the Ducks on June 11, with the likes of Alabama, Ole Miss, Colorado, LSU and Auburn also extending offers. Beaver turned heads with his performance at the Elite 11 finals and took multiple visits with SEC schools, but in the end will be a Duck.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder has a live arm and enough athletic ability to escape the pocket, traits that fit well in the Oregon offense. Notably, he was also not swayed by the departure of offensive coordinator Will Stein, who has accepted the head coaching job for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Bryson Beaver QB Outlook

With Dante Moore widely expected to return to Oregon, Beaver will more than likely spend the 2026 season and potentially further learning in the shadows. Using his redshirt and learning the ins and outs of the college game should suit Beaver well in the long run.

Oregon QB Depth Chart

Assuming Moore comes back, Beaver would presumably fall behind each of Brock Thomas, Austin Novosad (though he is a transfer candidate) and Luke Moga, competing alongside rising redshirt freshman Akili Smith Jr. for reps. If Moore does depart, there’s a high likelihood that the Ducks dip into the transfer portal for a veteran passer, unchanging the depth chart.

Oregon 2026 Class Outlook

Going into the Early Signing Period, the Ducks are expected to sign a fourth-straight top-10 class, and there’s a good chance that they ink another top-5 class, challenging for the best signing class in program history yet again under Dan Lanning. While Oregon may not have the size of class that we’ve seen in the past, pushing 30 recruits, it does rank as the best in the nation when it comes to the average rating of recruits. The Ducks focused on quality over quantity this cycle, and they’re bringing in a handful of the best players in the nation as members of the 2026 class.
