Tennessee football flipped defensive lineman JJ Finch, who had been committed to Alabama since June.
Finch is a 6-foot-3, 260-pounder from Warren Central High in Indianapolis. He adds to Tennessee's 2026 signing class, which was already ranked No. 5 in the 247Sports Composite.
He is rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite, but it's evident that many power conference programs thought he was underrated.
Alabama initially won the recruiting battle for Finch. He also got scholarship offers from Miami, Michigan, Indiana, Florida, LSU, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Penn State, Vanderbilt and many others.
Finch took an official visit to Tennessee in June before committing to Alabama. But he kept his recruitment open and took an unofficial visit to Tennessee on Nov. 1 when the Vols played Oklahoma.
