What to know for 2025 Colorado football state titles at Canvas Stadium

The Colorado high school state football championships return to Canvas Stadium for the third straight season.
For the second consecutive year, it’s a tripleheader featuring Class 3A, 4A and 5A state title games, including two No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchups.
Colorado State University’s stadium has also hosted high school football each of the past four seasons, with the local Canvas Community Classic featuring Fort Collins-area teams in Friday night doubleheaders.
Now it’s the site for the biggest Colorado high school football games this season with some anticipated championship matchups.
Here’s what you need to know about the 2025 Colorado 3A, 4A and 5A state title games on Dec. 6.
Colorado state football championship games, schedule
CLASS 3A: No. 1 Windsor (13-0) vs. No. 2 Pomona (12-1)
When: 10 a.m. Dec. 6
How they got here: The Wizards continued their unbeaten run this season, coming back in the fourth quarter to hold off No. 5 Holy Family for a 21-14 semifinal win. The Panthers raced past No. 3 Palisade 42-29 to make the program’s first 3A title game in just the second season since Pomona moved down from Class 5A.
CLASS 4A: No. 1 Dakota Ridge (13-0) vs. No. 3 Palmer Ridge (13-0)
When: 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6
How they got here: The Eagles remained unbeaten and largely unchallenged, cruising past No. 5 Heritage 31-14 in a 4A semifinal to put Dakota Ridge on the doorstep of the program’s first-ever football state crown. The Bears are fresh off a thrilling 31-29 semifinal win on the Western Slope at No. 2 Montrose as Palmer Ridge looks to claim a first 4A championship after winning three straight 3A titles from 2017-19.
Class 5A: No. 1 Cherry Creek (13-0) vs. No. 2 Ralston Valley (13-0)
When: 5 p.m. Dec. 6
How they got here: The Bruins held off No. 5 Valor Christian 21-13 on a late defensive stand in the semifinals to make their eighth straight state championship game. The Mustangs will make their state championship game debut thanks to a last-second go-ahead field goal that took down No. 3 Mountain Vista 31-38 in a Final Four thriller.
Ticket, game info for CHSAA 3A-5A state football championships
General admission tickets are $20 (plus a $2 fee) for an all-day pass that allows entry to all three games.
Tickets can be purchased online through CHSAA via GoFan.
On-site tickets are available at the main ticket office on north side of Canvas Stadium, just west of Gate 1. Cash will not be accepted for on-site ticket sales.
CHSAA encourages fans to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long box office lines.
Fans with general admission tickets can enter at Gate 1 on the north side of the stadium along Pitkin Street. Fans with suite tickets can enter through the premium seating entrance on the west side of Canvas Stadium.
The box office opens at 8 a.m. and Canvas Stadium gates will open at 9 a.m.
General admission seating is in sections 100 through 141 throughout the lower bowl.
Parking for 2025 state football title games at Canvas Stadium
On-campus parking at CSU is free and available all day on Dec. 6.
Parking for each game is divided into several lots. There are some minor changes from previous years due to a Colorado-CSU men’s basketball game at Moby Arena scheduled at 3 p.m.
Fans primarily attending the Class 3A (Windsor vs. Pomona) or Class 5A (Cherry Creek vs. Ralston Valley) title game should park on the central and east side of CSU’s campus in these parking lots:
- Lory Student Center lot
- Field House lot (Lot number 335)
- Hughes Way lot (412)
- Morgan Library lot (425)
- Jack Christiansen Track lot (440)
- Meridian Avenue lot (473)
Fans primarily attending the Class 4A championship game between Dakota Ridge and Palmer Ridge should park on the southeast side of CSU’s campus in these lots:
- Lake Street parking garage (570)
- Commuter lot (575)
- South College Avenue parking garage (577)
- University Center for Performing Arts (625, across College Ave)
ADA parking is also available in Lot 240, immediately west of Canvas Stadium.
Pitkin Street immediately north of Canvas Stadium (between Meridian Avenue and Lot 240) will be closed to vehicle traffic for much of Dec. 6.

What fans can, can’t bring into Canvas Stadium
CSU’s clear bag policy for athletic events will be in effect. All fans must pass through a metal detector while entering the stadium.
What’s NOT allowed in Canvas Stadium:
- Backpacks, purses, fanny packs or computer/camera bags.
- Coolers.
- Luggage or briefcases.
- Seatbacks with solid frames.
- Any bag larger than the required size.
What IS allowed in Canvas Stadium:
- One clear, plastic, vinyl or PVC bag smaller than 12-by-6-by-12 inches, including clear, plastic freezer bags of one-gallon or smaller.
- Small clutches (smaller than 4 ½ by 6 ½ inches), with or without a strap, or bags of an appropriate size containing medically necessary equipment.
- Blankets and jackets.
- Cameras and binoculars not in a carrying case.
How to watch 2025 Colorado 3A, 4A, 5A football title games
If you can’t make it in person, there are streaming and broadcast options to watch the state championships.
All three games will be televised live on Altitude Sports Network 2.
All three games will also be livestreamed online through the NFHS Network (subscription necessary).

Colorado 6-man, 8-man, 1A, 2A football championship scores
The small-school football championships were held Nov. 28-29 at CSU Pueblo’s ThunderBowl.
